Coasters / 2015

In 2015, I designed and built a set of nine coasters using off-cuts from the Melbourne School of Design Workshop – materials that would have otherwise been discarded. This project allowed me to creatively repurpose small timber pieces, transforming them into functional and beautiful objects.

Each coaster features a hand-milled base with four discreet feet in the corners, a seamless detail that enhances both stability and aesthetics. Crafted from Jarrah, Victorian Ash, and Brush Box, and finished with Danish oil, the coasters highlight the natural beauty of the materials while showcasing sustainable design practices.
