Experimental Alphabet / 2020

Experimental Alphabet was a 2-week project undertaken as part of the subject Experimental Typography at RMIT University in 2020. The project involved making a lo-fi 16-page print publication showcasing 26 unique and experimental letter forms – my inspiration was the foliage along Swanston Street. The final publication showcases a unique alphabet inspired by 26 leaves which I collected along my walk. The zines created are the epitome of lo-fi, with the 16-page publication being at its smallest possible size (74mm x 105mm) made with a single A3 sheet. I printed it myself using a Risograph printer, a type of printer known for being eco-friendly. The publication was available for purchase at the NGV Art Book Fair in March 2020.
