Pattern Lid Box / 2018

Pattern lid box is a personal 2018 project designed and built with students’ off-cuts, which would have otherwise been thrown out, from the Melbourne School of Design. The decorative lid was made of thin strips of various timbers dressed, glued and cut, and glued and cut once again to achieve the detailed pattern. Jarrah was used for the base, sides, and delicate handle to compliment the Jarrah detail in the lid’s pattern.
