‘The real reason why mosquitoes buzz’ was created as part of the subject Illustrations for Graphic Design at RMIT in 2018. This project involved live illustrating a 5-minute TED Talk. Live illustrating, also known as graphic recording or live scribing, is a process which involves visually capturing verbal information in real time. Ideas from the TED Talk were translated visually to summarise the topics discussed in the talk. The illustration takes into consideration order and flow, grouping, and colour to effectively illustrate the talk.
